Makers Make the Future

At Making Space, we believe in the power of makers to shape the future. This year, we are starting the first Making Space Thesis Grant for students currently doing their thesis projects.

 

This grant is designed to support future makers by providing access to the tools they need to bring their ideas to life. We're dedicated to creating an environment where creativity thrives and innovation happens. So, if you're a maker with a thesis project, we're here to help.

ELIGIBILITY

Who Can Apply? 

​

  • The grant is open to all students in the Philippines who are conducting their thesis until June 2024

​​

  • Applications are open to all research topics and fields of specialization

​​

  • The thesis project must utilize the facilities of Making Space: studio, gallery or makerspace.

THE GRANT

What will you get?

​

  • Free use of Making Space facilities for three (3) months

​​

  • Mentorship by Making Space team

​​

  • Promotion of Work through Making Space platforms

​​

  • Thesis Grantee Exhibit at Making Space

​​

Please note that the Grant does not include any monetary compensation.

SUBMMISSION

How to apply?

​

​​

  • Submit your thesis abstract (500 words)

​​

  • Create an outline of all the facilities that you will be using at Making Space

​​

  • Draft a timeline of your thesis , including your proposed production schedule and working hours at Making Space

​​

  • In 500 words, answer the question: How can Making Space impact the output of your thesis?

​

We may ask additional information about your project once you have been shortlisted.
