What did ancient Visayans wear back then? In this workshop, we take our precolonial history out of the textbooks and into your wardrobe! Let’s recreate the past, one garment at a time. Join us as we go through the archives and dress to impress in fashion from a bygone era.
About the Instructors

Sharrie is a cultural advocate and multidisciplinary artist whose work bridges heritage and modern storytelling. From performing in an internationally competing folk choir to designing costumes for major cultural productions, she has consistently promoted precolonial Visayan identity. Her research on Cebu’s heritage led to a viral photoshoot and media features for her advocacy through fashion. She won the grand prize in UP’s quincentennial costume competition and continues to engage youth by bringing indigenous culture to pop spaces through art, cosplay, and digital media.
