Calling all young builders and creators! Join our Woodworking Workshop for Kids and Early Teens (ages 8-14) for a hands-on adventure where you'll bring your very own wooden toolbox to life. In this exciting session, you’ll learn the ropes of workshop safety while mastering the essential skills of the trade: from carefully sawing your pieces to size and sanding them for a smooth finish, to the satisfying art of gluing and hammering nails for a sturdy build. Whether you’re working solo or with a teammate, you’ll gain the confidence to use real tools and walk away with a functional, handcrafted project you can be proud of! INCLUSIONS: Materials required, access to tools and consumables (sandpaper, glue, etc) PRE-REQUIREMENTS: both hands physically abled AGE LIMIT: 8-14 years old REMINDERS: Please trim nails and tie hair + wear clothing without dangling accessories that might get snagged. Are you curious about 3D printing but feel intimidated by the complex software and hardware? Join our 3-hour beginner-friendly workshop, "Introduction to 3D Printing," designed to help you dip your toes into the world of additive manufacturing using both FDM and SLA printers. In this session, you'll get hands-on familiarity with the basics, learning essential skills like preparing and optimally "slicing" your 3D files for high-quality, successful prints. We will demystify common challenges, such as handling support structures, overhangs, and choosing the right infill for strength or quality. By the end of the workshop, you'll be comfortable with the software interfaces and confident in slicing your own files, transforming from an intimidated beginner into a capable creator. INCLUSIONS: 3D printed trinkets both from SLA and FDM, safety gear and materials PRE-REQUIREMENTS: Please bring a laptop and pre-install the Bambu Studio and Chitubox programs. Mouse optional but recommended. AGE LIMIT: at least 15 years old REMINDERS: Please ensure your laptop can stay on for the duration of the workshop, you may bring a charger, and that any OS updates will not impede your workshop experience.
