Are you curious about 3D printing but feel intimidated by the complex software and hardware? Join our 3-hour beginner-friendly workshop, "Introduction to 3D Printing," designed to help you dip your toes into the world of additive manufacturing using both FDM and SLA printers. In this session, you'll get hands-on familiarity with the basics, learning essential skills like preparing and optimally "slicing" your 3D files for high-quality, successful prints. We will demystify common challenges, such as handling support structures, overhangs, and choosing the right infill for strength or quality. By the end of the workshop, you'll be comfortable with the software interfaces and confident in slicing your own files, transforming from an intimidated beginner into a capable creator. INCLUSIONS: 3D printed trinkets both from SLA and FDM, safety gear and materials PRE-REQUIREMENTS: Please bring a laptop and pre-install the Bambu Studio and Chitubox programs. Mouse optional but recommended. AGE LIMIT: at least 15 years old REMINDERS: Please ensure your laptop can stay on for the duration of the workshop, you may bring a charger, and that any OS updates will not impede your workshop experience. In the event that a participant is not able to attend the workshop, these are the protocols to follow: 1. One-time free reschedule. The reschedule date must be within 30 days of the original schedule 2. Reschedule notice must be given at least 48 hours in advance. 3. If reschedule notice is given in 24 hours or less, participants must pay a P500 rescheduling fee per person. 4. If the participant does not show up for the reschedule, they will be refunded 50% of the paid amount.
